ALMOST 20 YEARS AFTER THE FACT, AIRBUS, MULRONEY AND KARL SCHREIBER STILL REMAIN UNDER INVESTIGATION
Evidence surfaces showing Schreiber paid Brian Mulroney $300,000.00 cash in three meetings in hotel rooms in New York and Montreal for his participation in the Airbus deal.
Mulroney, speaking through his lawyer says that the money was paid to him for assistance and promotion of a "pasta Business" that Schreiber was apparently setting up at the time.
Schreiber states that Mulroneys comment is an absolute lie and that the money was repayment for Mulroney applying pressure to Air Canada to buy these jets vs. other more cost effective jets.
Frank Moore, a former(now deceased) premier on the east coast was also incriminated by Schreiber in this most recent statement of facts presented by Schreiber.
Vic Toews, the justice minister for Harpers' newly elected government at the time, had refused to re-open the matter as it wasn't on the agenda of the new government, and he didn't believe anything more would possibly come of the matter and that all of the evidence doesn't point to Mulroney as being knowledgeable about the deal. Bullshit.
Karl Schreiber seems to say differently though.
