Cops Support Internet Surveillance Bill
Well, everyone knows that if there were a way to circumvent the investigative process. they'd do it. Of course they'd support the idea of unfettered access to all personal records of every single Canadian...it would just make their jobs so much easier and save them all of that pesky investigating work they'd be forced to do otherwise.
Policing is only easy in a Police State, and that's where Harper wants to take us.
ReplyDeleteThis is from a comment posted by a SUPPORTER of the police..."I know a lot of them drink excessively, do drugs, and even act like idiots."

Do we really want the police to be able to look at our private information whenever they please? Can you see the boys in blue gathered around the office computer on a slow night snickering at your internet browsing habits? I sure as hell can.
As we have seen in news reports, some cops already use police resources to track their spouses, girlfriends, boyfriends and anybody else they want to. The last thing we need is give them more access to other people's personal information.
ReplyDeleteWell I am a cop and this legislation is wrong. This is a invasion of people's privacy. Harper has to realize there is a little thing called the Canadian Charter of Rights. If a police officer has reasonable and probable grounds to believe there has been a crime committed or need to investigate, they need to get a warrant. Plain and simple.
ReplyDeleteThis is such bad legislation because there will be abuses and this infuriates me.
Just one pissed off cop who believes there is a leper process that needs to be followed
