Oil policy turning good guy Canada into global bad boy

Oil policy turning good guy Canada into global bad boy

"In a Jan. 20 piece headlined "Is our neighbor to the north becoming a jingoistic petro-state?" the influential Slate online news magazine suggested with barely restrained glee that the new ugly American is actually Canadian."

Great, like Harper said, you ain't going to recognize Canada when he's finished.
He might be right....never thought I'd confuse any of us as being ugly fucking americans but this idiot has made it so we all look like ugly fucking americans.
Soon we'll have to wear Swiss flags on our backs to travel just so people don't think we're Canadians and decide to beat us for being a bunch of frigging Harper yahoos.

Oh stop. It's all relative. Once Newt is in charge south of the border we'll look like the good guys again. Just be patient.

Newt looks good now but so did most of his predecessors, before they got elected. Wait 'till he's been sitting in the Oval Office for a year or two. That's when we find out who he really is and not who his campaign managers want us to think he is.

Which is not to say I disagree regarding Newt vs Harper at this point.

Naw, we survived the Liberal years of Chretien...gong show...Trudeau...double gong show...relatively unscathed...we'll survive Harper too...
At least he understands hockey and the world of big business as opposed to pandering to all the special interest groups the Liberals would give money to.
