Harper did what he had to do to resurrect conservatism
In other words, he lied(or got Peter to)stole(yes he stole a name...ask Sinclair Stevens)and cajoled(ask Mr Orchard)his way into office.
Sounds like the guy has tons of merit....if he were a thief.

He didn't resurrect conservatism. He patched together a Frankenstein monster that lurches first right then left depending which way the wind blows. Don't confuse the Conservative Party with conservatism. The Conservative Party is no more conservative than Progressives are progressive, New Democrats are democratic or Liberals are liberal.
ReplyDeleteIt's just a word game they play to make the public think they are different from one another. Scratch the surface and they are all statists who believe in big government and even bigger perks for themselves and their friends.
If that sounds terribly cynical it's because you've bought into the game. Don't listen to what they say. Look at what they do.
