JIM, JOHN AND STEVE
If Jim Prentice was aware that Jaffer had lobbied him regarding "green" industries, wouldn't he have been aware that Jaffer was violating lobbyist rules for ex-politicos as Jaffer had just lost his seat, and why would Prentice have waited until Jaffer/Guergis were busted to say anything? If John Baird was aware that Jaffer had lobbied him regarding "green" industries, wouldn't he have been aware that Jaffer was violating lobbyist rules for ex-politicos as Jaffer had just lost his seat, and why would Baird have waited until Jaffer/Guergis were busted to say anything?
If Mr Harper was aware that Jaffer had lobbied his ministers' regarding "green" industries, wouldn't he have been aware that Jaffer was violating lobbyist rules for ex-politicos as Jaffer had just lost his seat, and why would Harper have waited until Jaffer/Guergis were busted to say anything?
Yes, they all sound the same, because they are the same.
Considering the PM and his two top ministers were all aware that Jaffer had lost his seat, wouldn't they all be in breach of the lobbying act?
"wouldn't they all be in breach of the lobbying act?"
ReplyDeleteIf the act requires that MPs report people that are in violation then yes they would be guilty. If not they have committed no infraction - they are merely scum.
With politicians it's not a matter of right or wrong, it's just a matter of navigating your way through the fine print and not getting caught. You need look no farther than our own City Council to see a perfect example of politicians practising their craft.
