And Here's What We're Fighting For In Afghanistan

CONSERVATIVE AFGHANISTANIS' PASS FORCED SEX LAW
The Canadian Military is off fighting for democratic rights in Afghanistan(a nation of gun toting cave dwellers) while the yahoos in the Afghan government are in the business of protecting the rights of persons who wish to force their wives into having sex.
I hope this isn't what Stephen Harper is keeping our troops in Afghanistan for?

Why Men Are never Depressed...Thanks Shery!

MEN, AND WHY WE ARE NEVER DEPRESSED!

Men Are  Just Happier People-- Your last name stays put. The garage is all yours.  Wedding plans take care of themselves. Chocolate is just another snack.   You can never be pregnant. Car mechanics tell you the truth. The  world is your urinal. You never have to drive to another petrol station  restroom because this one is just too icky. You don't have to stop and  think of which way to turn a nut on a bolt. Same work, more pay.  Wrinkles add character. People never stare at your chest when you're  talking to them. New shoes don't cut, blister, or mangle your feet. One  mood all the time.

Phone  conversations are over in 30 seconds flat. You know stuff about tanks  and engines. A five-day vacation requires only one suitcase. You can  open all your own jars. You get extra credit for the slightest act of  thoughtfulness.

Your underwear is $9.95 for a three-pack. Three  pairs of shoes are more than enough. You never have strap problems in  public. You are unable to see wrinkles in your clothes. Everything on  your face stays its original colour. The same hairstyle lasts for years,  maybe decades. You only have to shave your face and neck.

You  can play with toys all your life. One wallet and one pair of shoes --  one colour for all seasons. You can wear shorts no matter how your legs  look. You can 'do' your nails with a pocket knife. You have freedom of  choice concerning growing a mustache.

You can  do Christmas shopping for 25 relatives on December 24 in 25 minutes.

No  wonder men are happier.

CSIS Admits: We Will Tickle Torture You For The Information

CSIS ENDORSES USE OF UNORTHODOX TORTURE METHODS
CSIS has given the a ok to agents that wish to use unorthodox torture methods to extract information from you whenever they should so desire to do so and as a result they have come up with a list of good torture practices to follow when in need of a good torture regimen for those pesky prisoners that just refuse to speak...or really don't know anytning at all, but will speak like fountains when hit with the electrode in the ass.
Agents are now permitted to use things like advanced feather tortures, wakeboarding behind the Queen Mary with a weight tied around your testicles and several other juicy things that would make you laugh or cry dependant upon which side of the S & M spectrum you hang on.
The most frighteneing aspect of the new advanced torture practices is the new "pull your own foreskin through a large metal zipper that is attached to a photo of Rita MacNeil."
It is not known if this new method has worked or not.I'm still trying to remove the zipper.I'll let you know.

Dear Board Members Of The Woodstock Art gallery

DEAR ART GALLERY
I am a citizen of the city of Woodstock and I would like to offer to you a siggestion on how we could all make this gallery work for all of us.
I know that I've been a vociferous opponent of the gallery expansion and for many reasons I believe that opposing the proposed redevelopment is in the best interests of this community that can ill afford to foot the entire bill for this project.
After some conversations with several Woodstock Councillors I have come to the conclusion that perhaps building this thing is not so bad afterall.
Several councillors have suggested that the Art Gallery begin its' fund raising for its' project without community input.(cash) I would agree with that.
I feel that as a community member that I would be willing to pay part of the bill, but not all of the bill. I would like to ask you, the members of the gallery and the board of the gallery to consider the possibility of raising some funds on your own.
I would be willing to offer to you Three dollars for every dollar you can raise on your own to put towards a reconstruction.
If you wish to build a $4million gallery, then you should raise $1million. If you wish to spend $8million, then you should be willing to raise $2million and so on so forth.
I think as a member of this community that offering 75% of the building costs is fair. I think that if the gallery and its' board feel that their plan is warranted that they will consider this option  to organize and raise some portion of funds on their own. This would show that there is indeed a demand for this thing, and that the community supports it. At this point it appears that the demand is limited to a few select members of the community and their friends. If you can prove your point, and prove the need then you ought not to be so afraid to put a little of your own money where your mouths are.
I'm pretty darned sure that if the art gallery board came to the table with an open mind that the community would back the issue, even if it is begrudgingly. Everyone needs to be willing to move a little. I'm sure that the gallery will be built regardless, but lets' see if we can make the terms something that all of us can agree upon and afford to pay for.
In this community we lack numerous social strategies. We lack supports for severely disabled persons and their is a supreme lack of group homes in the area that deal with an ever growing population of disabled children and adults. As the parent of one of those persons, I feel troubled by the lack of support for him and others like him.  Considering  that, I wonder if the members of the Art Gallery board feel guilty at all when taking public money from people who otherwise cannot care for themselves?
I doubt it. I doubt it a lot.
Yes, I can get behind your art project, but can you people get behind helping those who cannot help themselves? I doubt that too, but I am willing to give you my money in the form of taxes so you may enjoy a wee bit more art(that I won't have time for as I am far too busy working and caring for this severely challenged person) while you are staring out of your gallery windows at the line of disabled wandering homeless people strolling past you.
The homeless and the hungry cannot eat the art. Most of them wouldn't be allowed in anyways.
This reminds me of a song....
Something called hunger Strike I think it was....

I dont mind stealing bread
From the mouths of decadence
But I cant feed on the powerless
When my cups already overfilled
But its on the table
The fire is cooking
And theyre farming babies
While the slaves are working
The blood is on the table
And their mouths are choking
But Im growing hungry

Another Fireball Lights Up Alberta

METEOR FLASH BRIGHTENS ALBERTA SKY...AGAIN
Alberta must be in the sight lines of the big rock tosser in the sky. (whoever that may be)
Commuters headed into Calgary yesterday morning were treated to a rare meteor that sliced through the sky leaving a bright blue and yellow trail behind it.
Local metoer watchers believe that it broke up into smaller pieces before impacting somewhere outside of the city. Scientists believe the meteor was between 10 and 100 kilograms.

And One More Swing At The WGH Cronies

COLLECTIVELY THESE 13 PEOPLE EARN
$2, 298,466.51 YEARLY
WGH Continues to languish under the pressure of exorbitant salaries being paid out to the upper echelon of the adminstrative staff. The hospital continues to bleed red ink while the administration staff continue to ask for more raises.
The hospital has closed beds, and layed off staff that clean the hospital in order to ensure there was enough money for salary increases to the administration.
Once more, these people should be ashamed of themselves. Their collective wages are equivalent to the yearly earnings of 376 single persons that receive public assistance payments.
I can hardly fathom how these 13 people are more "valuable" then 376 persons that may need our public help this year after they lose their EI benefits.
It's that built in sense of entitlement that bureacrats need to rid themselves of.

And Another Local Police Officer Is Arrested

LOCAL OCPS OFFICER CHARGED
A local OCPS police officer has been suspended from duty pending the outcoming of her trial for criminal assault and INTERCEPTING COMMUNICATIONS ILLEGALLY.
Constable Crystal Hough was arrested following a two week investigation that was handled by the Waterloo Regional Police Force after a complaint was laid on March 17, 2008.
OCPS Inspector Darryl Longworth says they handed the case over to Waterloo Region in order to insure integrity in their investigation.
So what does that tell you?
