Tories To Attempt To Tackle Prison Drug Trade(Good Luck Fools)

I HOPE THE GOVERNMENT INTENDS ON SEARCHING THE GUARDS OF THOSE JAILS

  Oh bully!

 The Conservative government of Stephen Harper has decided to attempt to tackle the prison drug trade after failing miserably on the streets of Canada.(Oh there must be pounds and pounds of drugs ending up in jails eh?)

 Harpers' Conservatives announced a new project that would see millions spent on drug enforcement in Canadas' prisons where according to reports, there are more drugs available than on Canadian streets.(that report came from me:))

 Oh have I got news for you. According to the report the majority of drugs being sold in Canadas' prisons are being put there by organized crime...which is absolute bullshit.

 The vast majority of drugs in Canadas' prisons are actually carted in by hard up guards that trade those drugs for goods inside of the prison. While in the good Queens' custody it was routine for me to sell cartons of smokes to one guard in particular who would bring me in bags of weed.(the guards are not searched by anyone) 

 One guard really liked the sides of beef and pork that were removed from the kitchen cooler by inmates and then handed over to him...he'd bring in tons of good hash and oil for those prisoners in return for their co-operation. Another guard that worked in the works and engineering department of the last prison I was in, made off with tools, and cutting torches(that were brand new in a box yet)and wrote them off to "inmate theft".(yeah, I never met one guy in there that had a cutting torch in his cell)

 Nope Mr Harper, you might think that hiring hundreds of people will make a difference, but the fact is, those people that you are hiring are probably bigger criminals than the ones locked up....leaving me to wonder, who is guarding who? 

 Maybe the government should consider hiring an ex-convict to assist them on this one.(At least that person might have a clue of what is really going on in our prison system.)

 Oh yes, I almost forgot to add that this issue is pandemic across the entire correctional system...including halfway houses(where managers have  provided all kinds of funny things to people..in exchange for cash)and provincial institutions and their respective remand centers.

HOW MANY MORE CANADIANS WILL DIE IN THIS WAR OF ATTRITION?

 Another Canadian soldier has had his life snuffed out by a roadside bomb in Afghanistan after the vehicle he was travelling in ran over a roadside bomb in the western region of the Zhari district.

 Sean David Greenfield was killed while taking part in a viscious four day operation in Afghanistan near Mushen(which is totally controlled by the Taliban again) while searching the region for bombs and bomb making equipment.   

 No one else was injured in the blast. The project included Americans and British army members.This is Canadas' 108th death in Afghanistan since operations began. 

Salmonella Cases On The Rise...Again.

WATCH OUT FOR THOSE SALMONELLA PEANUT PRODUCTS!

 The government of Canada has issued another warning regarding peanuts and products manufactured using peanuts in Canada.

 I'm wondering, where are these peanuts grown? And how do peanuts become infected with salmonella? 

 On Friday the CFIA added to the growing list of tainted foods more than 30 peanut related items that could be considered dangerous for human consumption.

 Check your cupboards folks, don't throw them out, but return the stuff to a grocery store for a full refund of your item.(If they will not refund your money, then mail it to the manufacturer)

Science Sector Left Out Of Budget Entirely

GENOME CANADA HAD FINANCED MANY CANADIAN RESEARCH INTIATIVES

 Martin Godbout, CEO and President of Genome Canada says that for the first time in more than 9 years, they will not be able to continue many important studies and projects that were in the works as a result of the federal government slashing its' budget entirely.

 Genome Canada provides research grants to many different organizations that research the genetic links between cancers and other illnesses and the numbers of persons employed through this agency directly or indirectly reaches into the thousands.  At present they are responsible for providing grants for researching several very important areas of medicine like stem cell research, genomics and agricultural research.(GMO's)

  A representative from Industry Canada said that they had identified more than $87 million in cost savings in their department and as a result, the Genome project had its' financing removed.(This probably has more to do with stem cell research which many fundies are against.) 

Although Industry Canada has chopped all of its' funding of this progam, the Industry ministry still claims that the scientists have not lost any access to funds for research.(which seems difficult to believe considering they are all bitching about having lost their funding?)
