A local OCPS police officer has been suspended from duty pending the outcoming of her trial for criminal assault and INTERCEPTING COMMUNICATIONS ILLEGALLY.
Constable Crystal Hough was arrested following a two week investigation that was handled by the Waterloo Regional Police Force after a complaint was laid on March 17, 2008.
OCPS Inspector Darryl Longworth says they handed the case over to Waterloo Region in order to insure integrity in their investigation.
So what does that tell you?
Can we have more background on this? It doesn't tell me anything. Were there other's arrested in the same case or other incidents? And what does OCPS stand for? This is the 1st I'm hearing of these things so that's why I'm asking.
ReplyDeleteIt tells me the OCPS want an independant investigation so the results are untainted by suggestions of favouritism. That seems reasonable to me. There'd be no point in having the investigation conducted by her co-workers. If they conducted their own investigation you would be screaming bloody blue murder.

ReplyDeleteOver the course of several years now several local police officers have been charged with offenses but generally found not guilty.I wonder what the rate of convictions are for police in comparison to the rate of convictions for non-police?
At least they sent the mess to another jurisdiction.

ReplyDeleteThere is no way to compare. This person is being investigated for her actions as a police officer. The rate of convictions for civilian is zero, 'cause they're not cops.
Let the courts decide. The days of judges siding with the cops are pretty much passe. Chances she'll be sent off to a feminist sentencing circle. :)

And what happened to the cop caught bangin a 16 year old in a cruiser a couple years ago, And why did Chief Fraser keep news of a pedophile friend of his under wraps. What an aroma.....

ReplyDeleteI went to high school with Crystal Hough and I find it hard to believe she even made it as a cop in the first place. This type of behaviour from her doesn't surprise me in the least. If the courts DO drop this charge then I will seriously question the integrity of our legal system when dealing with officers.

ReplyDeletewow. that is all i can say to you "no". this person is trying to show the world what a horrible person this crystal is. how many times has she been charged and arrested now? i am sure that i am not the only person that thinks she should not be a person of the law. you cannot call crystal a role model. if we did, god help us, what would this world be? let me answer that for you, A HORRIBLE ONE. what right do you have to call someone a "high school loser"? this person is just trying to inform the public that this "constable" is going against the law herself. in my opinion, crystal does not respond to "help our ass". infact, i would feel much more safe if crystal was not a cop at all. it's obvious that SHE BECAME NOTHING using the legal system to benefit herself.

whoever this "no" is, is obviously not very smart. crystal hough is not responding to help us, instead she is out, getting drunk, being the slutty fat ass pig that she is, crashing into a tree, then walking away from the scene of the crime.
