Ministry Of Finance Raids Result In ....Nothing, Again.

MOTOR FUELS AND TOBACCO TAX FOLKS LAUNCH RAIDS ACROSS WOODSTOCK
Inspectors from the Ontario governments' finance ministry have launched a series of raids in Woodstock this week.
The team of investigators from Oshawa was in the city in order to identify businesses that may be in violation of the Tobacco Control Act, and who may not have paid taxes on those products.(the retailer pays the tax in advance..at the time of purchase from his/her distributor)
They were searching local businesses(mine included)looking for "blunts", and other tobacco products that are subject to Ontario tobacco taxes.
Thankfully for us, we use stringent accounting practices and tests(on those practices) to ensure the practices are secure(unlike some of these elected arses)and were able to send them packing after 2 days of audits without any charge or taxes owing. Which is great for me.
I'm impressed that Ontarios' tax dollars are being used in such a fine way investigating compliant retailers.
Too bad they wouldn't use the tobacco Nazis on our elected bodies.

They'd have more success if they staked out the access roads to the nearest Indian Reservation. :)

"nazis"?
Not a good choice of word Jim.

What a load of PC nonsense. The usage was entirely appropriate. You probably objected to the Soup Nazi on Seinfeld too. It's a figure of speech.

The word is inappropriate. remove it.

So I guess that you must think that we should remove our history as it too is inappropriate

Why is it that you think that you can order Jim to remove comments from HIS blog? Are you his boss? I thought he was self employed & successful at it as well. If you are so offended, why do read this blog? If you are so opinionated why don't you start your own blog?

That person probably thinks that if we don't speak of the haulocost, it didn't happen, kind of like an osterich with it's head in the ground, only it's up their ass!

There is a name for societies that successfully outlaw offensiveness from the public space: Totalitarian.

Stand up for freedom. Offend someone, preferably some politically correct moron like the one that thinks they can tell Jim what to put on his blog.

Acceptable behaviour from someone who has influence does not include the right to call others "Nazis".

That's right, that right was earned the minute the coin was phrased back when hiltler murdered all those people and set the example...and yes the haulocost really did happen

"Acceptable behaviour from someone who has influence does not include the right to call others "Nazis"."

Yes it does. It's called freedom of speech.

And by the way, just who defines "acceptable?" You?

to the person who said, "The word is inappropriate. remove it."

From the WordWeb dictionary.....

"Nazi: An offensive term for a person who is fanatically dedicated to, or seeks to control, some activity, practice, etc."

Jim's use of the word was entirely consistent with current usage. It would be equally appropriate to apply it to your attempt to control freedom of speech. So that would make you a .....
