Mayor harding Complains About "Subtext of anti-leadership here"

WOODSTOCK MAYOR LAMENTS THE FACT THAT THERE IS A "SUBTEXT OF ANTI-LEADERSHIP" IN WOODSTOCK
Woodstock Mayor Michael Harding recently complained to a group of people that he was speaking to that there is a "strong subtext of anti-leadership in Woodstock".
Well, anti-leadership? Perhaps he is correct...making him a very astute guy, or perhaps he is blind, making him not very astute.
The people of Woodstock are not anti-leadership, we just aren't sheeples...that's all. Most people I have spoken with do not have an issue with leadership, but feel that the leadership of the city has an issue with its' people and many of those community members feel that certain actions of Mayor Harding and his council were designed and acted upon particularly to keep the public in the dark. The recent mess over the Integrity commissioner comes to mind on that one. Mr Harding and his compatriots developed a set of IC rules that would prevent the IC from actually investigating his actions, from the time he sat on the Board of Directors of the bankrupted/wound down company ,Info Energy. The problem is not anti-leadership. The problem is the leader.
How many leaders would refuse to acknowledge that thousands upon thousands of people signed petitions stating they were interested in maintaining the existing park system? How many "leaders" would push his council into voting against the people? I'll tell you...it's the anti-people leadership that we have in our community that did that, and for that reason, people in the community hold view our leadership with suspicion and contempt.
No Mr Harding, the people of Woodstock are not to blame. The man that stands in your morning bathroom mirror looking at you may offer you some insight.

"a strong subtext of anti-leadership in Woodstock".

If by that he means that the people of Woodstock would prefer a more democratic approach by the Mayor and Council then I would have to agree.

The statement would indicate that Mr Harding has a vision of himself as a "leader." Excuse me if I take a brief recess to laugh myself silly. The only thing this joker is qualified to lead is a herd of lemmings. The sooner he finds a cliff the better off we'll all be.

"How many "leaders" would push his council into voting against the people?"

Most of them. Harper and McGuinty come immediately to mind. :)

The fundamental problem is the idea that the people we elect to council are elected to lead. Does anyone really believe that any of these people are qualified to lead anyone anywhere?

Really. Look at them. Is there anyone sitting on council that you would trust to manage your finances or counsel you on personal decisions. These people are not special. None of them have any particularly impressive credentials. Some of them have no credentials at all other than their vote tally. A couple of them are dumb as posts and one is crazy as a shithouse rat. Leaders? Please.

Maybe instead of giving him such a hard time always you could consider calling him and discussing some matters with him if you feel that inclined to complain.

Calling him? You're joking?

He's been called. He's been petitioned for Christ's sake.

He doesn't discuss. He dictates. After all, he's The leader.

"What are we going to do tonight Michael?"

"What we do every night, Pinkey. We're going to take over the world."

"It's not the people who vote that count. It's the people who count the votes." (Josef Stalin)

Exactly. all that matters is who counted the votes.

There were questions raised as to who was present and who was not allowed to be present during the final tabulation. It's my understanding that certain candidates were excluded while other preferred candidates were allowed to be present.

It would be interesting if anyone who was there could confirm this.

I know the O.P.P. were ready to seize the ballot boxes if the court order was processed but the candidate involved let it go. He was,is and always will be a fraud. Word is one "vote counter" in the know is getting nervous about the growing whisper campaign. There may be light at the end of the tunnel after all.....In other words anything to gas this prick would work for me.

Since the whole thing was electronic there was really only one vote counter. The Clerk is responsible for the tabulation and the integrity of the process.

Yeah, integrity in the process.....barf.
