WHAT TO THINK OF A GOVERNMENT THAT WOULD DENY TREATMENT TO SOME OF THE MOST VULNERABLE PERSONS IN SOCIETY
Well, I don't think too much of them.(and I am sure the feeling is mutual)
In fact, I think it is a complete disgrace that they would spend millions on fighting autistic kids in court procedures that are legal but not very moral.
Ontarios' government has illustrated repeatedly that what they do best is ignore those who suffer the greatest, and in this case, the parents and families of autistic kids are the ones who are suffering at the hands of our government. Some families have devoted all of their energies, all of their finances and have depleted all of their community resources in an affort to help their kids.
Even after Ontarios' Ombudsman released a damning report several years ago on the state of the situation the government still refused to take heed and threw his report in the trash without instituting even the most basic of recommendations that were contained in the report.
A government that would attack children and the disabled is morally bankrupt.
When I was young I was taught in school that government is comprised of our elected peers...fellow members of our society who are sent to Toronto or Ottawa to do our bidding.
Those same elected persons, once neighbours, and one time friends to many persons, now become a part of the "machine" that we call government.
When they were neighbours and friends, they sided with these parents, but now they stand against them since they became "government".
Some friends, some neighbours.
Sure am glad the pricks don't live on my street.

That's hardly surprising since the curriculum is developed by the Ministry of Education, otherwise known as "the government."
They taught you lots of other lies too. They failed in one respect though. You still seem to be able to think independently. I guess you're one of the ones that fell through a crack. :)
